good evening chefs! my name is dj and im 23 yrs old and im currently finishing up my culinary degree in New Jersey! I've looked at a lot of options on what direction i want to take my career and i am leaning towards being a personal chef! im so so so exited on getting to know more about this side of the industry! What baby steps should i take to be able to be successful in this field? thanks in advance for your help! I live to cook and I cook to live

Peruse all the options on our home page about becoming a Personal Chef, read the book:

The Professional Personal Chef: The Business of Doing Business as a Personal Chef (Wiley, 2007). written by Candy Wallace our executive director!

Join the APPCA and recieve more professional advice from experience Personal Chef's than you can imagine!
