I just wanted to know, since my husband's income is not enough to cover our life-style by itself (nowadays, there has to be two incomes), is it poosbile to work say 24 to maybe 30 hours a week at a regular job (a steady pay check with possibly some benefits) & still have the time to PC? I know that I have to make at least $900 every two weeks to keep the life-style we have (I actually make less but plus benefits...if no benefits then I know I have to make at least $200-$250 more). I am a nervous wreck about going into pcing full time right off the bat. I know there are no guarantees but just some assurance would be most helpful! I kinda like to know what to expect. How many clients does one usually get per week/month etc etc

Lilbit, not to sound redundant but "it depends" on how many clients you can expect to get. Your area/market, demographics, advertising/press, etc will have an effect on how many times your phone will ring! Then of course, you'll have to also "close the sale". Although some PC businesses have started right off with a bang, I think most start off as "part-time" until they build up their biz to where they want - for some it may be 3-4 clients, while others it may be up to 10-12. You really must examine your current income requirements (which you seem to have done) but yes, it is definately possible (and quite a good idea to have a part time job which I do now) until you're PC biz is financially adequate for you & your family! Is your current employer flexible with your PC endeavor? That helps a lot when you have a fairly flexible schedule. I'd say trying to get a PC biz up and running while working a full time job is more challenging. Good luck to you!
