Just wanted everyone to know....i collect cookbooks & I ordered one from Reader's Digest a few years ago that has been a godsend! The title is Cook Now, Serve Later...it has some really wonderful recipes in it exclusively for our line of work! They even have a home-made tv dinner type section in the book!

I check this one out from the library from time to time, thinking I'll find the time to test the recipes, but haven't managed to yet!
Have you tested any of them? If so what is the success rate, if it's favorable I may go on a hunt and buy it! I too collect cookbooks, I think everyone here does! LOL
I thought I had an obsession, it truly made my day when someone told me that they had more cookbooks than me!

the recipes are wonderful....it is very much worth the trouble of finding this cookbook...speaking of collecting cookbooks....I have some that my mother passed to me from the 50' & 60's...my how some of the recipes have been updated to fit the 90's! Some haven't changed at all. It's so relaxing for me to sit down & read a cookbook from cover to cover!

I know, I love a cookbook, especiallywhen it has stories to go along with the recipes!

You are like me! I have over 300 cookbooks. Do you have Theory and Practice by James Beard? It is the best!

You know, with that James Beard cookbook you can learn so much. My favorite quote from that book is "If you have hands, you can cook." I like that attitude.

I don't have the James Beard Cookbook above, but have an old one, never have tried any of the recipes though. I need to get this one to check out the stroganoff recipe ! I have one that I use regularly but I am always looking for one just a tad better!
