To any and all current or future personal chefs out there and current or future customers of a personal chef. Being one of Candy Wallace's first customers in 1992 - 1993 time frame I can tell how having a personal chef helped me.
I am 6' 7" tall and when fit I weight a little less than 300 pounds. I have a high profile, high stress job in customer service. I had just quit a 30 year smoking habit and was really packing on the unwanted pounds when Candy suggested having me as one of her first customers in her new "Personal Chef" business she had started.
She put a lot of effort into my meals. My meals were of the finest quality ingredients. There was always plenty of food, as I really enjoy eating, and everything was low fat, nutritious and delicious. While under her program I lost almost 75 pounds. I had felt better than I had in years and even started riding my bike cycle to work.
She made my dinners and packed my lunches for almost a year. I no longer used her service's when I moved across town (35 miles) but before I moved she taught me how to cook and eat healthy for myself. She provided me with menu's and recipes to eat and stay healthy that I use and pass on to others. (A couple of my favorites are her Navy Bean Soup, Beef Barley Soup and my most favorite is her Marinara Sauce with Turkey Sausage over pasta. She also makes THE best salads!)
I can recommend the service's of a Personal Chef to anyone that is thinking about using the service. My experience was very rewarding. To those of you who are thinking of becoming a Personal Chef, I know it is hard work but can be very rewarding both personally as well as financially. Whatever group you belong too, I wish you all the very best.
