Welcome to APPCA. There are quite a few steps to getting a personal chef business off the ground, like getting insurance, food safety training, business license, etc. The APPCA materials lay everything out--too much to discuss in a forum posting! Also, Chef Candy Wallace literally "wrote the book" on the subject, The Business of Doing Business as a Personal Chef. There are many different ways you can take this business--it's all up to you. However, as far as being able to "store food without freezing," food will only last in the client's refrigerator for so long. It depends on what you've prepared, but for most things, I tell the client to get things in the freezer within four days. Good luck and we're here to help. |
