Ok I am currently a student member of another pc organization but I am leaning towards regular membership with APCA one reason being that the other association has a local chapter but despite being called the Windy City chapter their meetings are in Arlington Heights which is to far for me. Anyway my question is about insurance I don't know how much I need, how to get it, how much it will cost but I see that a APCA membership includes insurance is that right or am I misunderstanding? Can someone clear me up on this and maybe fill me in on the Chicago Chapter of APCA. I am really just about ready to sign but I just want to be sure. I definetly want to become ACF certified in the near future.

Insurance is not included with your membership in APCA...but we do offer a package for our members that includes two million dollars in liability coverage. Each person buys there own insurance...and carries their own policy...the premiums are based on your location and do vary from area to area.

I understand that at least one other association offers a total package of coverage for all of their members, but that all share in one limit. Since I don't belong to any other associations I can only report what I have heard.

Look closely at all of your options for association affiliation...I think if you look at all of the options carefully you will have to choose APCA because of the benefits we offer.

The Chicagoland Chapter of APCA meets every other month (alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays) in various locations throughout the Chicagoland area.
