Greetings Chicagoland PCs,
I hope you’ll all attend the Chapter meeting on Wednesday evening, 7:00 pm, November 5. If you have not yet done so, please RSVP by October 30 to karen@chop-pcs.com. This meeting will be held at Lexington College, Room 502 at 310 South Peoria Street in Chicago's West Loop area. Special thanks to Linda Rosner, who has arranged the meeting space, parking and a demonstration of hors d’oeuvres by Union League Club’s Garde Manger and Banquet Chef Carlos Gaytan. Please bring your own beverages, and $5 per person for the cost of the demonstration ingredients. Also, if you have any suggestion on ingredients you’d like to see used during the demo, please e-mail them to Linda Rosner at chef1@lexingtoncollege.edu by Thursday, October 30. Here’s the meeting agenda: 7:00 Date/Location of Next Meeting Old Business New Business 7:30 Demonstration by Chef Carlos Gaytan 8:30 Q&A 9:00 Continuation of meeting, if needed Directions: From 290 inbound---exit at Racine, left at the light. Over the Expy, turn right at the light, which is Van Buren. Going east, pass the next light, which is Morgan, continue 2 more blocks to Peoria, turn left. We are the building with the mauve colored awning, just after the parking garage, on the left. From 90 inbound---exit at Adams, turn right. Continue through the first light, which is Halsted, to the 2nd block, which is Peoria. Turn left. Going south, continue through the next intersection, Jackson, and we are about 2/3 down the block, on the right, same mauve awning, with the parking garage AFTER the building. CTA Blue Line---the Halsted/UIC stop is 1/2 block south of us; just walk north to Van Buren, and continue up Peoria until you pass the parking garage. Metra---Whether you wind up at Union Station or Northwestern, you can cab over to Lexington, and it shouldn't cost more than $5 with tip. Parking---We are welcome to park in the parking garage. It is located just south of the entrance to Lexington College. There are 2 driveway entrances, but parking is not allowed on the furthest wall south in the garage; that is for the business next door. Safe to stay in the center aisles, and there should be plenty of spaces. See you there! Karen Chef Karen A. Tursi CHOP Personal Chef Services www.chop-pcs.com karen@chop-pcs.com |
