The last scheduled East Coast seminar will be held on Nov. 15 and 16 in Gaithersburg, MD. This will be your last chance this year to get your business jump started by attending one of these day and a half seminars. Emphasis is on structure, marketing, sales, promotion and operation. We don't attempt to teach you to cook, but we do discuss the daily chores that lead to a successful operation.

If you have not yet attended a seminar and are in the process of getting your business started, now would be the time to register for the last seminar of the year on the east coast.

Contact Patt in the Member Services office and she will take care of your registration.

If any recent attendees of any of the seminars, east, midwest or west would like to jump in to give the folks on the fence a little nudge in the right direction, now would be an appropriate time and place to do just that.

Register now before we fill up the slots that are available.

After struggling with getting my business up and running for the last 10 months, I realized I needed this seminar!

I took the seminar last weekend and found there were a lot of marketing avenues I had not pursued. Candy and Jim had great marketing success stories from marching in parades with shopping carts to the pay-off of continuously sending those press releases.

Besides feeling renewed, I have NEW friends!

The seminar is not just for the newbies, it's also for the struggling Personal Chef. The price for the members is the difference between the home study course and the seminar - $300 well worth it dollars!

Don't delay!

Sign up today!

(Look at that, I'm a poet and didn't even know it)

I took the September East Coast Seminar and found it to be very worthwhile. I joined APCA in August, carefully reviewed the binders, opened for business September 6, and took the seminar on September 20th-21st.

I am now operating at a profit, which is a testament to the value of this seminar. I was able to sharpen my marketing plan, simplify my pitch, develop less expensive marketing materials and develop free ways of letting people know about my business. The seminar also gave me the courage to follow my instincts in some areas, which have really paid off. I now author a local food column, where I get a page of free advertising for my business. I also developed close relationships with major realtors who feed me "new homeowner" business.

My one hesitation about starting a personal chef business was my lack of experience running a business. This seminar saved me from making expensive mistakes, and put me on the road to a rewarding career.

Jim is also light-hearted and makes the seminar fun.

Thanks!!

Thanks, TheCookToo....

I hope to attend the seminar, TOO! At the very least, I will purchase OPTION B......

After looking at the materials and websites of the three known Personal Chef Associations, I can honestly say that this one is the BEST, if only because of advantages like this Forum for Non-members.

If it is this good as a non-member, it must be super-fantastic for MEMBERS!! I can't wait to see the other forums!

Deb - You're right it's fantastic to be a member of this organization. I would urge you to read as many of the posts as you can concerning the ebenefit of the seminars. If you truly want to become a personal chef quickly then the seminar is the way to do it.

ATTENTION LOCAL DC AREA CHEFS: We would welcome as many of you who would like to come visit with this class. If you are able to attend and share your valuable insight I know how important it is for these folks to see and talk to successful working chefs. You are welcome anytime after 10:30. If you would like to attend, please let me know so I can send you driving directions if you have never been to my home.

If anyone is having any second thoughts about attending, BELIEVE ME you NEED to go. You will learn many short cuts and get great ideas and even meet a few nice people (of course there is always the exception with Jim Davis) but we love him in spite of himself.

GO, go, go to the seminar!!!
