I am currently a private chef for a professional basketball player in Los Angeles. I actually live with him, and make all his meals and watch that he is eating the right things.
I usually have alot of free time during the days, and when he leaves for away games. So I wondered if doing PC stuff on the side would be something I would like to do.
So I was wondering if there is any one in the LA area that I could get ahold of and possibly job shadow. Getting clients would be no problem for me, because of all the people I meet being around my client (So dont worry about me steeling your clients But I just wanted to see what goes on in the day of a PC.
JS922, I was wondering if any of your client's friend ask for your services yet? If nobody answers you you could get the video "The Day Of the a Personal Chef" it's on the store mall part. I think it would be very easy for you to do this. You might not need to shadow someone, maybe talk to someone in L.A. to see if you would like it. I think you would through. Good Luck!!! Chef PINKY
Yes, even some of the other guys on the team ask if I would do some PC stuff for them. Whenever I talk to someone about what I do they always ask if I would come over and cook for them.
Through out my culinary career I always cooked stuff fresh and on the spot for that day obviously. But I never did the come in and cook for five days, and hold it over in the fridge. Or even come over and cook for two weeks and freeze half of it. But I guess its always test and trial for what can be held the best in the fridge/freezer.
I just didnt know if there was someone around in my area that I could talk to.
I went to the "find a personal chef" link off this page & found PC's in my area. I called them and 2 were very willing to meet with me. You might want to try that as a way to find someone in your area to shadow. Good Luck! pgr555
Yep Most Definitely. You should look at the "find a personal chef" link and contact some PCs in Los Angeles. I'm sure they wouldn't mind you following them around for a day.
