Hi Georgia,
Please keep in mind that rules vary according to where you conduct your business. It is my understanding that teaching classes is providing a service, so you can teach classes in the clients home as long as the food will not leave the premises. I teach in-home(client's home) all the time. Local health officials have a hard time figuring out how to handle our businesses because they differ from the norm. That is why Candy Wallace is such a great asset. She paved the way originally when no one knew what a personal chef was. Be sure to tell the health department that all of the food will stay in the client's home - you will not transport any food EVER and you should be fine. But again every area is different. Hope this helps, Sherry |
