I went to cooking school many years ago and cooked at several restaurants before I got burned out from the long hours and not the best pay. I having been working in corporate america for sometime now and the PC business seems very appealing to me. I am looking through the forum to see what others are saying about the business and the APCA. I like to do my research before jumping in. It seems like there are several places offering this type of training and see several options for sotware, Accuchef, Living cookbook, Big Oven deluxe, etc.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Keith--

Thank you so much for posting and inquiring--the APCA is truly the best place to start and maintain the foundation for a successful PC business.

Dennis and I have been in business for 7 years and have been APCA members the whole time--we have watched the organization grow and evolve--the support from members and executives is unparalleled--we are not "joiners" by nature but I cannot imagine having our business without these people and these forums.

Many of our members use Mastercook, some use other programs, and then there are those like me who use nothing--it is a personal choice.

Defintely do your research and please contact the APCA home office and talk to Candy Wallace--she is just amazing and with all she does, I am convinced there are 10 of her.

Best of luck in your decision and we look forward to seeing you around.

Best,

Christine & Dennis
