FOOD NETWORK IS HITTING THE ROAD TO FIND ITS NEWEST STAR

Network Announces Fourth Season of “The Next Food Network Star”

Conducting Open-Call Auditions in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Seattle and Minneapolis



For Immediate Release – Food Network has greenlit a fourth season of its hugely successful reality series The Next Food Network Star and for the first time will be will be holding open-call auditions in order to find aspiring TV chefs, it was announced today by Bob Tuschman, Senior Vice President, Programming for Food Network. The recently completed third season of Star was the highest-rated cable food series ever and Food Network is searching for outstanding chefs and home cooks to join the ranks of past winners like Guy Fieri and the newly crowned Amy Finley to compete for the opportunity to win his or her own Food Network series.



"Season three of The Next Food Network Star performed beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to extend this exciting franchise into a fourth season," says Tuschman. “As always, we are looking for people who have strong culinary knowledge and vibrant personalities who can pass along their passion for cooking to our viewers.”



The network is currently conducting a nation-wide talent search and encourages both professional and amateur chefs to apply. Applicants have until Friday, October 12, 2007 to send in a three minute audition tape explaining why he/she should be Food Network’s newest star. Applications and contest rules can be downloaded from www.FoodNetwork.com starting Tuesday, September 5. In addition, contestant hopefuls can also apply in person at one of five open-call auditions that will be held around the country. Applicants should bring an application, photograph and resume and/or bio to the auditions, which will allow them to meet with network casting directors. Locations will include:
