I have been checking this forum for the last few months and it seems like everyone is helpful and positive. It seems to be the perfect start-up business. I'm just a little scared to make the purchase of the kit and find out that I can't find any clients. Is anyone PC'ing in the NE ohio area and are you finding any clients? I know there are'nt any "guarantees" with any business but I would appreciate any advice or encouragement.
Hi Janet How nice to know that you've been enjoying the Forum and the folks who are sharing themselves and their information here. You're right, the Personal Chef Industry has some truly wonderful, generous, creative people in it, and we're always looking for more talent! Networking with one another is exactly how we have come this far this fast. Your question is a good one, and the answer is, you are right, there are no guarantees in life or in business. It is a fact that the person who is willing to spend the time and effort marketing themselves and their service is the person who will be far more successful than the person who buys a business plan and just sits by the phone waiting for it to ring. The Personal Chef Industry has received more and more media coverage as it has grown, so it is not so completely unheard of as it once was. We have provided materials and support for our members, and the chefs who use these materials and support and really get "out there" with their message are busy working at their successful businesses. You will be as successful as you are committed and involved in your own success. The limit to which you can "grow" your business is up to you, and no two Personal Chef Businesses should look alike. They should each reflect the expertise and wants and needs of the owner/operator. Hope this helps! Candy
