Welcome to the Visitors Forum. We're glad that you have chosen to join our group of very successful personal chefs. YOu will find that you can build your own business to suit your own requirments as far as family and other obligations are concerned.
A couple of pieces of advice: 1. Don't do anything until you have your manual in hand, have read it through a couple of times and signed up for the APPCA forums. Just following our plan will save you many steps that a lot of folks take that are totally unneccessary. 2. As soon as you join get signed up for the forums and read them in every spare moment that you have. You will find a wealth of information and answer probably 95% of your questions before you even have a chance to ask them. 3. Start saving your pennies so that you can attend a seminar as soon as you can. There will be one in Dallas and one in St. Louis this year, so you should be able to get to one of those fairly easily. There is nothing that will get your business off to a faster start than participating in the weekend seminar. 4. Stop every now and then and rememeber to breathe. There are a lot of folks on this forum that want you to succeed and will do all they can to answer your questions and support your efforts. Good luck and keep us posted with your progress. BTW, go on to the personal info page na compete your personal profile. The info will help all fo us help you better and faster. Jim Davis |

Welcome to this wonderful organization filled with the most fabulous people.
Jim has given you GREAT advice. I can still remember the day that Joe and I made the decision to join the APPCA and to this day haven't looked back. Jim is correct, make sure that you breathe!! We didn't have the money to do everything all at once, so we ordered the home study course first, started working on the business plan and reading everything we could get our hands on. Months later we attended a seminar and Jim is correct, going to a seminar is priceless. We look forward to hearing about your success. Good Luck and always remember to have fun. Joe & Ronetta |

Thanks for all the advice! I am looking forward to getting my kit in the mail soon and hopefully attending a seminar. I didn't see one for St Louis listed yet...
I went back and forth between the home study kit from the APPCA and "another" site, but finding this board convinced me to go with the APPCA! |

Welcome aboard, you found a good "home". I am one that attended a seminar almost a year after joining...it only helped jumpstart my business in the right direction. (all you will have to do is pay the difference between the training pkg you pay for & the seminar costs plus a very small admin fee). You will find that the info you get from the forums alone is worth the cost of training materials then once you do get to attend a seminar, you will think that you really paid too little!
