I was surprised by the "price per pound" while shopping for coffee at Costco yesterday. Their Kirkland house brand was almost $2 more per pound than the price for the "pound bag" of house brand coffee at my local Harris Teeter Supermarket.
It wasn't 'til I was grinding my morning coffee that I discovered that H-T's price per "pound" bag price is for TWELVE ounces!! They didn't raise the price, they just packed less for the same price. Gotta start carrying a pocket calculator when shopping. lg
