June...I have used sour cream in a few different sauces without "breakage" & no "stablizers" in it. It will depend on what you are making. You might want to go to the once a month cooking site...there's a recipe called Freezable Beef Stroganoff & it's good...

This is the site I was referring to: OAMC for busy cooks I don't know if the the one I am referring to, is still there..found it 4 years ago. That being said, there was nothing speical about this recipe. I mean it was simply your basic stroganoff, & it just so happens to freeze fine.
No, it doesn't seem to be there anymore...did come across a tasty sounding 'pulled pork' recipe for the crockpot tho,lol. I didn't add the sour cream this time but I'm going to test it at home and see how it comes out. Thanks for the input June
