Does anybody out there know of any computer software in existence that will convert a recipe to show the caloric breakdown (if you put in all the ingredients (and quantities) to be used?)Thanks in advance.

I use MasterCook. It gives a complete breakdown of calories, showing percentages, grams, etc.
Well, Mastercook will -- assuming that you use the ingredients in its database, or input the caloric data for missing ingredients. In other words if it uses "chicken breast, boneless skinless, R-T-C" and you've put "chicken breast half" in your recipe, it's not going to be able to give you calories for that item, unless you either change your recipe to use its term, or input calorie data for "chicken breast half".
There is some great, albeit much more expensive software that can do this for you -- try a search for registered dieticians -- their association has info on software designed specifically to calculate calorie info. The National Restaurant Association can also probably point you to software that will do this.
