We joined this organization 9 years ago and have loved every minute of it. It has been a huge support in our business development and we can't believe how fast the time has gone by and how much the organization has grown and really influenced this industry.
On Monday I realized that our annual dues were due that day and made a frantic phone call to San Diego to the home office. I was lucky enough to get Dennis Wallace, our illustrious webmaster/wizard/great all around guy. It is always a pleasure to talk to him and we had a good laugh about the Boston Big Dig (ongoing joke), gardening, travel, etc. The transaction was completed and we said good bye.
When I got off the phone I sat there amazed that I had just talked to the top guy in the organization (Candy was on a plane and due home in a couple of hours), he knew exactly who I was (out of a very large membership)and took the time to laugh and chat with me. This man does so much to keep the tech side running smoothly so none of us have to worry (Mamoon, you too!) and still has the time for the members.
This is the very reason why we are still members after 9 years and will remain such. No matter how big the APPCA gets, the leaders and the members are there and take the time with you.
For any one on the fence and deciding about taking the plunge, this is the place to do it.
