Look out all of you Beantown chefs - here we come!!!

Here's the scoop on the Boston Get Together:

APCA has a block of Suites (they sleep 4) at the discounted nightly rate of $229. (you may want to share with 3 other chefs so your adjusted rate will be $57.50 and you'll have a great time getting to know each other too!

APCA will be providing Continental Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday, Sept. 30, and Continental Breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 1.

We're all going to John McGrath's house on Saturday night for dinner. LOL! (Poor John will probably leave town after reading this)...

Here's the schedule:

FRIDAY: September 29, 2000:
APCA SEMINAR
9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

SATURDAY: September 30, 2000:
APCA PERSONAL CHEF SUMMIT
9:30 a.m. - 4:40 p.m.

7:00 p.m. - Dinner chez McGrath

SUNDAY: October 1, 2000
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

We will have an open Hospitality Suite for the balance of Sunday for chefs who are not traveling home that afternoon.

AGENDA:

We are scheduling a combination of Chef Demonstrations, Roundtable Discussions and Formal Presentations on topics such as:

* Jumpstart Marketing
* Your Press Kit and How to Assemble and Distribute it
* Buillding From the Mother Sauces
* How to Effectively use the Internet
* Introduction of New Pricing Options
* Effective Presentation of Your Pricing Structure
* Defining your Service, or (in the words of Jennifer Troy) "Decide where it is that you stand, and then go stand there"
* How to Select and Maintain your Knives
* Low-Fat Sauces
* Pricing Dinner Parties and Events
* New Container Configuration Options

Those topics and MORE, along with lots of NETWORKING, CONVERSATION, NETWORKING, STORY SWAPPING, NETWORKING, RECIPE EXCHANGES, NETWORKING, REGIONAL WINE TASTING AND OH, DID WE MENTION NETWORKING?

I'm trying not to sound too stupid here being that I'm incredibly overtired but when you say $315 for the weekend summit for APCA members does that include the price of the seminar on Friday or is that just for Saturday and Sunday???

Hi Sam! I'm sorry I missed your original message. I'm not certain that I understand what it is that you don't understand...oh, oh...

Here's the deal:

An APCA SEMINAR is ALWAYS $750.
(It breaks down to $375. for the materials, and $375. for the Seminar).

We are assuming that the only folks who will want to attend the Seminar in Boston are NEW folks, but if you are already an APCA Member and you would like to attend the Friday Seminar, please get in touch with me, and I will be happy to take care of you.

Now, the SUMMIT fee is different. It's for the Saturday-Sunday Summit meetings, demos, roundtable meetings and meals, refreshments, and get-togethers for those two days.
