I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. The San Diego and Southern California APCA Chefs are going to be putting on an event for Nick Irons and the "Going The Distance: Nationwide MS Bike Ride" here in town. Nick is riding 10,000 Miles around the perimeter of the U.S., throudh 29 States, to raise awareness and funds for research to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Our APCA chefs are cooking for him on his journey...We're going to get to meet him tonight because we're taking him some Chicken, Bacon & Black Bean Enchiladas and Homemade Salsa so he can sample some of our local "fare" (we're only 14 miles from the Mexican Border & have to show off a little bit!) Tomorrow we're doing a MAJOR pasta feed for folks who want to come out and meet Nick, meet our chefs, and talk to folks from the Local Multiple Sclerosis chapter and maybe even make a donation...it's going to be quite a weekend, and we're all really excited.
